　矢上城は、中田氏により築城されたと伝えられており、中田加賀守（たなかかがのかみ）は後北条氏の家臣団の一つで小机衆（こずくえしゅう）と呼ばれた南武蔵地域を支配していた集団・組織となる。
Yagami Castle is said to have been built by the Nakata clan, and “Nakata Kagamori” was one of the vassals of the Go-Hojo clan, a group or organization that controlled the southern Musashi area called the “Kozukeshu”.

　他の武蔵の城郭をご紹介するなかでも度々出てくるようになると思うので、今回ご紹介しておく。小田原衆所領役帳（おだわらしゅうしょりょうやくちょう）によると、以下の家臣が名を連ねている。

　城址の近くには、保福寺があり、この保福寺が中田氏の菩提寺になっている。慶応義塾大学の日吉レンジに入るための階段横に中田氏の子孫が建てた「中田加賀守累代墳墓之地供養塔」が建てられている。
Near the castle ruins is Hofukuji Temple, which is the family temple of the Nakata clan. Next to the stairs leading to the Hiyoshi range of Keio University, there is a memorial tower built by the descendants of the Nakata family.

現在の矢上城跡は、先にも述べた通り慶応義塾大学日吉レンジとして利用されており、城址に立ち入ることはできないため、遺構については一切確認が行えない。
As mentioned earlier, the ruins of Yagami Castle are now used as the Hiyoshi Range of Keio University, and since the castle site is inaccessible, it is impossible to confirm any remains of the castle.
